About Folvr

Financial data transparency for everyone.

What we're building

Folvr is the levels.fyi of financial data. We answer the question nobody else answers honestly: what does this actually cost, pay, or do in real numbers, for real people, in your specific city?

National averages are useless when you're making a real decision. A software engineer in Tulsa and a software engineer in San Francisco aren't living in the same economy. A credit card approval rate of "good to excellent" doesn't tell you whether your 720 score will actually get approved.

Folvr exists to close that gap.

How our data works

Every page on Folvr starts with Bureau of Labor Statistics data — official government data that gives us a reliable baseline. From there, our crowdsourced submissions fill in the local context that the BLS doesn't have: what lender gave someone in Tulsa a 6.1% mortgage rate last Tuesday, what Ally Bank is actually paying HYSA customers with a $15,000 balance, what credit score range actually got approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred in Q1 2026.

We label every data point with its source. BLS data is marked as such. Crowdsourced data shows you how many reports it's based on. We never blend sources without telling you.

Privacy and anonymity

Submissions are anonymous. We never store raw IP addresses — only hashed identifiers used for spam prevention. Individual salary and financial submissions are never displayed in a way that could identify a single person. We aggregate and show distributions, not individual records.

Email is always optional. When you provide it, it's only used to send you comparison alerts when new data is added to your category. We will never sell it.

Folvr and Greesi

Folvr is the consumer data layer. Our sister property, Greesi, is the institutional intelligence platform — macro intelligence, signal-level financial research, and market analysis for serious investors.

They share a data pipeline. Greesi's macro context — Fed policy, yield curve data, credit market signals — powers the contextual framing on Folvr's mortgage and savings rate pages. Both properties run on the same standard: no guessing, no unattributed claims, no manufactured ranges.

Revenue and independence

Folvr is ad-supported (Google AdSense) and earns affiliate commissions when you click through to financial products we surface as relevant — savings accounts, credit cards, mortgage lenders, job boards. Affiliate relationships never influence our data. We show you what the data says, and separately show you products that may be relevant.
